The poet ibn al-Mu'tazz wrote a book regarding the figures of speech inspired by his study of the Qur'an. Poets such as Badr Shakir al Sayyab expresses his political opinion in his work through imagery inspired by the forms of more harsher imagery used in the Qur'an. The Quran uses figurative devices in order to express the meaning in the most beautiful form possible.
